winetaster
English
Etymology
Noun
winetaster (plural winetasters)
- One who examines and evaluates wine by tasting it.
- 1979, J. B. Andersen, A Basic Guide to Appreciating Wine, page 43:
- A superior winetaster might be able to identify the kind of wine being tasted, but even that is unlikely. He would not be able to tell you the brand name of the wine or the year or soil type in which the grapes were grown.
