Alteration of variant cark, from Proto-Albanian *tsarka, from *ḱorH-ko-, o-grade from Proto-Indo-European *ḱer- (to bind, plait). More at thur. The Greek and Aromanian/Romanian loanwords were borrowed from the variant cark.[1]
