Cognate with Maay suul (“toe”), Jiiddu sol (“fingernail”), Baiso suul (“fingernail”), Konso shologlogi, Sidamo suullico (“fingernail”), Gawwada shushulle (“claw”), Dahalo tsoolo (“nail, claw”). Compare also Oromo sulullee (“hawk, snatcher”).
