neuraxis (plural neuraxes)

1. (anatomy, medicine, usually) Synonym of central nervous system.
2. (anatomy, embryology, medicine, sometimes) A subset of the central nervous system: i.e., the spinal cord, rhombencephalon, mesencephalon and diencephalon.
