1. (mathematics, category theory, of a morphism ${\displaystyle f:X\to Y}$ in a category with zero morphisms) The coequalizer of ${\displaystyle f}$ and the zero morphism from ${\displaystyle X}$ to ${\displaystyle Y}$, denoted ${\displaystyle \operatorname {coker} f}$.
