    • Audio:(file)
    • Hyphenation: cho‧co‧la‧de

    chocolade m (uncountable, no diminutive)

    Usage notes

    • In the past some dictionaries prescribed a feminine gender, likely because of analogy with terms that have the ending -ade. This prescription does not seem to have had any basis in common usage or etymology, however.
